Start an innovation collaboration with funding from Future Mobility
Future Mobility aims to contribute to new or strengthened innovation collaborations between Sweden and the United States within sustainable mobility.
We finance projects that boost bilateral research and innovation collaboration. In the United States, focus is on California, but other states are also welcome to participate.
Navigating Legal Challenges in US-Sweden Innovation Collaborations
It can be challenging to get the signatures needed to start a bilateral collaboration. In some cases, it only leads to delays, in other cases, the whole project must be cancelled. Future Mobility, AWA and GTI hosted a webinar that provides hands-on advice on how to reduce the risk of such problems. Now the webinar is available to rewatch!
Webinar recap: New digital tools to reimagine car-dominated streets
On April 23, professionals from across Sweden, the United States, and beyond gathered online to explore how digital tools like Streetmeter and Streetmix—including one developed through a Future Mobility-funded innovation project—can help transform car-centric streets into vibrant, human-centered spaces. The Streetmeter tool is now live and can support planners in both Sweden and the United States in making persuasive, data-driven arguments for sustainable street design.

Experiences from the implementation of battery-electric trucks in the US
This recorded webinar shares key lessons from Exchange for More BETs, a Future Mobility-funded project exploring the rollout of battery-electric trucks in the United States. Hear from CALSTART about how actors in the U.S. are implementing battery-electric trucks and charging infrastructure, what support services are available to fleet operators, and how developments compare between the U.S. and Europe.
