Which experiences can Sweden share with and learn from the United States to reduce traffic jams on highways?
The Swedish universities Linköpings universitet and Kungliga Tekniska högskolan are collaborating with the US startup Xtelligent on a project to develop a visual dashboard to provide real-time information about congestion. With it, traffic managers can quickly make decisions to alleviate the issue, leading to a more efficient, sustainable and enjoyable commute.
Clas Rydergren, Professor in Traffic Informatics at Linköping University, tells us about the project and the importance of collaborating with the US, with each country bringing different challenges and solutions to the problem.
